March 25-29, 2020
Podcast listeners, blog readers, and social media community UNITE, we're going to Costa Rica!
Costa Rica was my first home outside the US. It's where I learned to speak fluent Spanish, dance salsa, and fall deeply in love with travel. Now I get to invite YOU to go back with me to enjoy the "pura vida" together.
Unlike most of my high adventure group trips, this one is much more casual! We're spending our time in one beautiful place (Manuel Antonio), with optional adventures each day, so that you can make this trip what you want it to be.
We'll experience beautiful beaches, tropical jungles, delicious food, new friends, cocktails (poolside!), and some of the best beach sunsets you can imagine.
Only 18 spots available, grab yours quickly!
PS - Age doesn't matter for this one, you don't have to be under 30 to join us!

Bienvenidos a Costa Rica!
After a meet and greet at the airport, we'll head toward the Pacific coast for our first stop at a beautiful black sand beach called Playa Hermosa.
Our first Costa Rican dinner together will be right on the beach during sunset. Sit back and enjoy a refreshing beer or cocktail with new friends as we all settle into this beautiful country.
After dinner, we'll head to our home for the next few days in Manuel Antonio so we can get comfortable and unwind in the jungle, among the wildlife.
Wake up to the sound of toucans or scarlet macaws and enjoy your first Costa Rican breakfast.
We suggest starting your day with an active hike to a secret beach. We'll keep an eye out for three types of monkeys and two types of sloths during our hike to an unspoiled slice of paradise.
Enjoy lunch in town (on own).
In the afternoon, we'll have an optional surf lesson for those who want to paddle into the Pacific Ocean and catch a wave like the locals. If hanging ten isn't your style, hit the sand at Playa Espadilla, consistently ranked one of the best beaches in the world.
After another delicious breakfast of Costa Rican coffee and gallo pinto (if you're like me, you'll want to take this recipe home with you), we'll hike to a jungle waterfall with a swimming hole and enjoy a dip in the freshwater lagoon before heading for an optional activity of ziplining through the jungle.
In the evening, we'll hop a local bus to the nearby fishing town of Quepos to explore the farmer's market. Here we can shop for souvenirs, try local fruits, cheeses, ceviche, or homemade ice cream before heading back to our hotel for the night.
Take a short ferry ride to the island of Cocal for a truly unique cooking experience. Families from El Cocal have invited us into their community center to teach us how to cook a traditional meal. We'll get to hand roll tortillas with local women, fry our own plantains, and drink from a coconut straight off a tree.
For our last night together, we'll enjoy a block party complete with Latin music and dancing.
Wake up early for one last delicious breakfast with our fellow adventurers, and then take our included private transportation back to the airport for onward travel.
